Team Challenge Activity
The Team Challenge is a fun scenario activity that is suitable for large groups and highlights the value of working together to achieve a common goal!
The group is divided into smaller teams, each team need to locate and complete a series of initiative activities, which are spread out around the chosen venue. The different activities are worth various amounts of points and the whole group is trying to earn enough points to purchase a new satellite communication system that is vital to their business!The Team Challenge involves teamwork, planning and strategic thinking. It also involves the added dimensions of team building, communication, ideas generation and decision making with others. It is fun, active and engaging.
Based on teams of 7 to 9 participants per team, an Outdoor Insights person is assigned to shadow each team and hold short facilitation sessions where appropriate to capture the lessons as the activity unfolds.
Initiative /problem solving activities used on the team challenge tend to be short sharp and often quirky. We design synergy activities were two teams need to combine to complete the task.
The activity concludes with all teams coming together, to combine their points to purchase the communication device (a huge sphere which is five metres across and made out of some 300 parts).
The group then needs work together to build the sphere, which is an impressive structure that makes for an excellent group photo opportunity to celebrate the day!
